The Clarice Wilson Garden Club is dedicated to promoting the love of gardening and serve our community through gardening with our annually recurring projects and our yearly president's projects.
All profits from our yearly fundraisers go towards these projects that enrich the Greenville community and the gardening lives of our members.
Promoting Artistic Design and Beautification through monthly flower arrangements and holiday decorating of the historic Kilgore-Lewis House, the home of our Greenville Council of Garden Clubs
Promoting Environmental Awareness and Preservation through Backyard Wildlife Habitats, participating in Great Backyard Bird Watch, maintaining bluebird nesting boxes at the Kilgore-Lewis House, and educating our members and the community about invasive species and plants.
Promoting education
By organizing programs, field trips and workshops for our members
Promoting member knowledge of horticulture through yearly shows and education
By financially supporting scholarship programs and youth programs through National Garden Club, Inc. and The Garden Club of South Carolina
By sponsoring at least one youth to attend Camp Wildwood, a state garden club camp
And by supporting local organizations who educate the community and our future gardeners
Participate in Arbor Day programs and planting trees on National Arbor Day and also by helping to promote and maintain the accredited level 1 urban arboretum located at the Kilgore-Lewis House which was spearheaded by a club member
Remember veterans through a Veteran's Day ceremony at one of our Blue Star By-Way Marker
Promoting community beautification through participating in the annual holiday decorating of the historic Kilgore-Lewis House and maintaining our many beautiful and educational public gardens
